Pay with Cash

Use cash instead of plastic to make a difference and say thank you to those who clean your tables.

Today, when you go to lunch, pay with cash. And put the spare change in the tip or donation jar at the counter. Most quick eats places have either or both. The contents of tip jars at places like Starbucks and Marble Slab wind up in the pockets of the students and dreamers who work behind the counter. Panera Bread offers tasty bread and soups and has their Dough-Nation jars that ensure all donated coins stay in the local community. Use cash instead of plastic to make a difference and say thank you to those who clean your tables.

I may be one of the last people in America who does not use a debit card. I always use cash or checks (still handwritten) or a credit card only in dire circumstances. Even if I use a credit card for a meal, I always leave a cash tip. I like the idea of using "real" money...it makes spending more concrete and controlled.
