5 minutes of caring

Buckle Up

Fasten your seatbelt. We need you to keep coming to our site.

It goes without saying (or it should). When you sit in your car (or any car), buckle your seatbelt. You've probably heard it a million times, but lots of folks still ignore this practical safety tip that saves lives. We won't burden you with scary stories, as long as you promise to click it. This is only about four seconds of caring, so you can spend the rest of your time making sure your friends do the same before you shift into drive. Besides, we really want you around to keep reading these 99 words for a long time.

Since my dad is a seatbelt design engineer, it's a no-brainer. I even worked a summer in the airbag division of his company as a secretary. Very eye-opening to see a real-life crash test - or better yet, video tapes of one from many different angles.

Do you know what happens to a 4 year old who is standing on the front seat without a seatbelt, looking out of the front window, practically kissing the dashboard? S/He ends up in the backseat with a broken neck. That's just the crash-test dummy...now imagine your kid, nephew, neice, or neighbor.
