Trick Your Plate
|
Tell that tailgater that HYS853 supports a good cause. On the renewal form, all you have to do is check a box. More than 90 different plates are available in Tennessee, with other states also having a great selection. It costs a little more to brandish an organization’s name or logo on your back bumper, but this money is channeled towards your cause. It’s a quick way for you to throw a little money someone’s way, and make a statement about what’s important. Also, think about replacing that airbrushed front plate with your name on it you got during spring break with something a little more socially engaging.

Unfortunately though, for some of these less than half of the extra fee goes toward the organization. I guess you're making a statement about things you think are important, but you could do that with a bumper sticker too.
For example, look at the Fish and Wildlife Bear license plate. Only "$15.38 of the $35.00 additional fee will be deposited in the wildlife resources fund". I could also just send $35 straight to the organization and get a normal license plate.
Just something to think about.
