When you’re out walking your dog, cat, ferret or llama, make sure you pick up after them. Not only are their droppings a menace to the soles of your neighbor’s shoes, they are also an environmental pollutant. Rainwater easily sends animal waste into our sewage system, and eventually, our rivers and lakes. Many families have at least one pet, so you can imagine the difference this would make to our noses and waterways if everyone did their part. It’s a great way to reuse those plastic bags from the grocery store, but we also recommend some biodegradable waste bags.
