Refrigerator Etiquette

There is a protocol for cooling rising energy costs.

The fridge is one of the most loved of all modern conveniences. Make sure you're doing your part to lower your energy costs and save natural resources. Keep your refrigerator at 38 degrees for maximum efficiency (no cooler) and your freezer at 5 degrees. Also, don't leave the door open as you stare blankly at those leftovers, wondering how long they've been in there. While you're at it, check your door seals and replace worn insulation if some of that cold air is escaping. And, if you've got an ancient icebox, upgrade (and properly recycle) from that older model.
