Unless you buy an island and start your own country, you are going to be paying taxes to someone for something. And while lots of tax money goes to much needed services like roads and schools, the way taxes are collected may not be done equitably. Take a quick minute and find out just how much your state taxes necessities like food. If you feel the rate is unfair, take another minute to contact your elected officials and let them know what you think. Every taxpayer has a say in how his or her taxes are levied and spent. |
