Soy Capitan

Dare to compare: Soy Milk vs. Cow's Milk

While you'd need to be a farmer (or at least own a cow) to put your own dairy milk on the table, setting the table with soy milk won't require a degree in animal husbandry. I've never tried "milking" my own soy bean, but it seems doable (more doable than locating a willing bovine.) But short of the do-it-yourself method, why not try something different the next time you're strolling through your local grocery store aisles, and pick up the protein that is a half-gallon of soy milk, just to see how it makes that Cap'n Crunch taste.

We've just started using Silk for our cereal, and there's no difference in taste at all. It did, though, make our mac and cheese taste kind of vanilla-ey. Otherwise, we surprisingly love it.
