Change Your Signature

What goes out in your outgoing emails?

Some people use their email signature line to relay contact information, others use it to be funny, and some folks aren't even sure what it is exactly. Why not use the last line of your emails to draw attention to something positive? Include a quick link under your name to a socially aware organization (if you need a hint, we know of a good one) or a cause you support. Even though it may seem like a small afterthought, a simple stat or link at the bottom of your correspondence may catch someone's eye and make a big difference.

Follow-up questions: How much is too much information for an email signature? What's the most obnoxious email signature you've come across? Comment and share...

Great idea! Can't wait to put it to use.

After reading this article, I added a charity link to my signature. I've also sent out an email telling others about your wonderful web site.

I can't recall any obnoxious email signatures. I certainly hope mine doesn't come off that way either. I added our family business and two environmental websites to my signature...It couldn't hurt spreading the news.
