Don't Pass Grass
|
It pays to be lazy. The next time you mow, leave all the bags in the garage. Just let the grass clippings fall where they may. Lawns provide many benefits to local ecosystems, and by simply recycling your cut grass, you can effortlessly help maintain your lawn's health. Instead of bagging your grass clippings and having them hauled off to a landfill, remove your mower's bagger and let the clippings be "grasscycled." The turf will benefit from the extra nutrients found in the clippings. Be sure to mow often (once a week during growing season) and when the grass is dry (to prevent build-up).
