5 minutes of caring

Like an Old Box

Don't buy new boxes.

If you're thinking of packing up and moving sometime this summer, don't spend big bucks on brand new moving boxes. You can save perfectly good boxes from recycling bins and landfills by looking elsewhere to find what's needed to pack up your belongings after you storm out of that Monday morning business meeting for the last time. We recommend two options:

  1. Make a friend via CraigsList and get someone's recently used boxes for free.
  2. Visit UsedCardboardBoxes.com and pay a little extra for the right amount of boxes while supporting a company that's working to protect the environment.

you can also get boxes from grocery stores and liquor stores (they have really sturdy boxes)

You can also find posts from local people who have just moved and don't need all those boxes anymore at http://www.uhaul.com/boxexchange
