Cool chimney sweeps care.

We're right smack dab in the middle of summer. So, we're assuming two things:

1. You're not roasting chestnuts on the open fire in the family room.
2. You don't want to pay to provide air conditioning to the entire neighborhood.

Therefore, if you've got a working fireplace, make sure your chimney's closed so no cold air is escaping through it. And, if you're chimneyless, take the time today to give your air filters or door sweeps a quick check. A few minutes spent on energy conservation is a great lesson in home ec (where ec stands for economics and ecology).
