Before you head out to the store today to get your list of needs and wants, see what can be borrowed from a neighbor, friend, or family member. You'll save money (who doesn't want to do that?) and you'll keep your house free of clutter (which ultimately could end up in a landfill). Make sure that you return the items in a timely manner. And, it's important that you also return the favor and allow others to borrow your stuff. This kind of lending and borrowing will cultivate a deeper sense of community and be better for the environment.
