Does everyone in your house know how to get out if there's a fire? While we hope you're never in such a situation, make sure that every family member knows how to get out of your home in case of a fire. A quick review of the quickest and safest routes out of bedrooms and dens will make sure that everyone gets out safe and sound. Also, make sure to designate a central meeting place once everyone is outside in order to account for each person. And, of course, have someone to call 911 to alert the fire department.
