5 MINUTES OF CARING

iFree

Break free of the shackles of headphones.

It's no surprise that with over 100 million units sold, the iPod is the best-selling digital music player in history. That's why it's everywhere - schools, offices, gyms, even grocery stores. Music has become a convenient source of entertainment, but can prevent us from meeting a new friend, having a conversation or making a difference in someone's day. Consider today iFree. Take out those earbuds and put your iPod on pause for at least 5 minutes (that's just two songs). Strike up a conversation about your favorite artist and make a new friend, even if it's just with your silhouette.

I lead an iPod free existence. When I walk to work, I listen to the sounds of the city, which I love. Alongside the cacophony of alarms, police sirens and construction noise are the sounds of birds or the laughter of children. There are even moments of silence, when the breeze wafts through trees; I look to the beauty of the sky above, and know that I don't need a soundtrack to my life....
