The Real Dry Cleaning
Why use water when you don't need to? How do you clean your porch or walkway? While it's easy and instinctive to reach for the hose and turn it on full blast, grab the broom instead. Sure, it will require a little extra muscle on your part to move that thing back and forth as you return that dirt to your yard, but you'll be saving water (and money). While you're at it, make it a habit to "dry" clean as much as possible. And when you absolutely need water to loosen the mess, fill a bucket, instead of letting the faucet continually stream out the H2O.
