Chopsticks Forever

Your fortune: bringing your own chopsticks is good for the environment.

If grabbing some sushi at your favorite Asian-themed restaurant is a frequent hobby for you, consider investing in your own set of chopsticks. Billions of disposable, wooden chopsticks are used around the world each year, so the environmental impact is huge if we all spend the dough to purchase our own set. The bonus? You get to have a set at home to practice with before you take your next trip out.

Our first book, which comes out in less than three weeks, has an entire chapter dedicated to saving the world while out at lunch!

I think investing in your own set is a great idea. I used to have a fancy set that a friend brought back from China for me that I kept in my glove compartment. But why not just keep one pair of the "disposable" chopsticks in your glove compartment as well? This way, when you arrive at your favorite Chinese or Japanese restaurant, you can just bring your own in with you.
