Paper Towel Revolution
Save the world, one bathroom trip at a time. As you all know, our first book is out, mentioning over 100 things you can do to save the world. Today, we offer one up that's not in the book, but does come in a nice video format. Chances are, lots of us out there grab 3-5 paper towels each time we need to dry our hands. But we discovered, that it is possible to dry your hands with just one paper towel. If we all did this, we'd reduce this waste by as much as 80%. Don't think it can be done? Watch this video and learn how.

I've always wanted to put a sign up in the restroom at my work about using 1 or 2 paper towels instead of 3 or 4 or 5. Debbie commented, on November 2, 2007 at 7:15 a.m.: I can't believe I've never even noticed myself using multiple towels. I've made a point since reading this of using only one paper towel in the restrooms at work (we have cloth at home). It takes a little longer to get my hands dry, but who cares? Thanks for the tip. An even better idea - I keep a small hand towel in the kitchen and use that for hand drying instead of paper.
