Turn off the holiday lights and send a donation to help people in Darfur.

We've written before about the terrible genocide affecting the people of Darfur in western Sudan. And, while we can often feel powerless to act, every little act of awareness counts and helps educate others as to the need for action. One way to make such a difference is by turning off your holiday lights. The Dark for Darfur Campaign encourages everyone to offer a donation instead of a decoration. So, instead of stringing lights and garland around your home, send a small donation this holiday season to support the work of those seeking to raise awareness about this issue.
