A Cup of One's Own
Reusing a cup saves water. When you're at home and feeling a tad parched, make a habit of using the same cup for an entire day. It takes about two full glasses of water to clean a dirty glass, so getting a new drinking glass out of the cupboard for each refill means you'll be using more water than you drink. By saving water, you'll make sure there's more available for your daily allotment. And, since available clean water is becoming more and more of an epidemic, conserving every drop is vitally important. Raise a glass to reusing as much as possible in 2008.

Less dish washing at the end of the day, didn't realize it would help the environment some day! Post a commentYou must be a registered user to post comments. |

This is a challenge for me. I usually get a clean glass each time I get something to drink. I have started using the same glass each time, and I can't tell you how much water this saves! It really cuts down on how often I have to run the dishwasher. I am going to make this a habit!
