Foil Me Once, Shame on You

Foil Me Once, Shame on You

Don't let good aluminum foil go to waste.

Let's be honest: Aluminum foil is one handy invention. We can use it to cover dishes we bring to potluck and to store some tasty treats for later. And since it's so convenient to grab at the store, we buy it by the roll, ripping and tearing it for our latest needs in warm-eats coverage. The next time you finish a leftover, see if you can reuse that sheet on the next dish, extending the life of the foil and reducing your overall consumption. And, check with your local recycling program – many accept clean aluminum foil (along with cans).

I understand that even the foil wrapping on Hershey's kisses is recyclable.....xxoo

Instead of using styrofoam take-home boxes from restaurants, ask your server to bring a piece of aluminum foil to the table to wrap your left-overs in. You can re-use the foil at home or at least recycle it, plus you are not adding to the non-recyclable or non-biodegradable items in the landfill.

I do this all the time.
I guess "great minds think alike".

I do this regularly -- except for the whole Hershey Kiss recycling thing, haha.

I mostly save my tinfoil for cooking and science experiments. For leftovers (as ugly as it looks) at home I use plastic grocery bags wrapped around whatever dish holds the food.
