5 MINUTES OF CARING

Retired Superhero

Nine out of ten dentists say to reuse your old toothbrush.

It was once used to fight gingivitis and plaque, but now that three months have passed, it's time for that superhero of a toothbrush to hang up its cape and make way for a younger model. But before you cast aside your trusty companion, you can still use it, albeit in a slightly different capacity. If you don't make a bracelet from it, use its bristling characteristics to clean out dirt from tiny crevices, or to polish some household items. Extend the life of this wonderful tool and you'll continue to fight bacteria and dirt wherever it may lurk.

I love the Preserve Recycline toothbrushes. After they spend their life helping my teeth, I use them to clean my fish tank (yes, yes, the soft ones scrub those walls pretty well!) and at the end of the year I ship them back to Preserve where they can be useful again. Check them out at http://www.recycline.com/toothbrush.html or at your local health food store.
