Pay It Furward
Help someone adopt a pet. There are literally millions of pets waiting to find a forever home. But, your house clearly can't hold even a hundred dogs or cats. So what's a cool person to do? Pay it forward. If you can't take in another pet, help someone who can. Tell a friend you'll cover the adoption fee or initial vet bill. Visit your closest animal shelter and write a check for the next person who wishes to take home an older furry friend. You can also foster animals!! It's a great way to help out an animal in need without committing for a long time. I fostered dogs for Animal Compassion Network in Western North Carolina and ACN paid for food and vet bills. All we did was love our foster dogs and take them to adoption events. It was a great way to be involved, have a friend for our own pup, and be a part of a dog finding their forever home!! Fostering animals saves lives!
