Catch as Catch Can

How much water could a catch can catch if a catch can could catch water? That’s a question that is easier to answer than to ask once you start catching the wasted water from your kitchen faucet. The next time you’re waiting for it to heat up or cool down, keep a pitcher or empty milk carton nearby to catch all of that runoff. The water that you were previously just letting go down the drain can easily be redirected to Fido’s water bowl or the petunias out front. The same is true for water used to cook pasta.
