Nature's Last Stand in Carnation, Washington. It's an organic farm delivery service, but not a true CSA since they include organic items that aren't locally grown. The benefit is that they are able to deliver delicious, organic fruits and vegetables year round, which helps this local farm family and their employees have an income stream throughout the year. http://www.natureslaststand.net/

Found some steaks in the freezer that had been there a looooong time- like over a year. Thawed and browned them, cut them up and made a beef stew. It was actually okay, and used up the rest of an onion and a couple of carrots that whose freshet days were behind them. :-)

We want to start a business featuring the best of our cultural & religious heritage of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. The biggest part of this dream is learning artisanal chocolate making. We would like to open a shop featuring eastern coffee, chocolates (of course!), and various crafts, including beeswax candles, which are a vital part of our devotional practice.

I want to start a center for woman that includes massage and yoga and dancing and anything else fun and relaxing that I can think of- a place where woman feel safe to be themselves and are reminded of the importance of taking care of themselves. I also want to help low-income women by offering these things affordably as well as offering classes on resumes, interviewing, etc.

I want to start a non profit to give bikes away to individuals who live so far away from a bus stop that getting to work is almost impossible. I hope to find these needy individuals by partnering with churches.

I have incorporated and have found the 400 fee to apply for a 501-c3 a hard nut to crack. That is more than one bike! I plan to self fund the first year but am discouraged that the fees to keep the corporation current in state fees, city and county business fees and bank charges will consume over 10% of my planned investment.

I have not moved forward and am very discouraged.
