Don't Flush Medicine

If you’re feeling ambitious this New Year and want to clean out that medicine cabinet, make sure you properly dispose of your old and expired medications. While it’s easy to toss them in the trash, these pills can find their way into the wrong hands – some people may find them and try to use them. And, don’t flush the pills. The old capsules can make their way into our streams and waterways, harming wildlife. So, when you’ve collected all of those out-of-date bottles, take them to your local pharmacist who will know how to properly get rid of them.
