Dry Your Clothes Outside
Use your dryer less. With the weather getting warmer, the time and climate is just about right to hang your clothes outside. If you don’t have a yard and a handy clothesline, string one up in your living room, or invest in a drying rack. By not using your electric or gas-powered dryer for a month, you can save $45, and you keep 15 pounds of coal in the ground. That extra $45 you save can go to a really great organization that raises awareness about the environment. Drying your clothes the old-fashioned way has never been so efficient.
