TAP's Progressive Thought meeting 7:00 p.m.  –  8:30 p.m.

The next meeting of TAP's Progressive Thought group will be this Monday, January 28th, 7 pm to 8:30 pm, at the home of Mark Burnett at 617 Harpeth Trace Drive, Nashville, 37221 (directions below). We have decided to alternate Progressive Thought meetings between the east and west ends of Nashville to increase the diversity of people who attend. We will view a video of Van Jones, the founder of the Ella Baker Center in Oakland and a rising national star in the movement for social change. We'll have a discussion on the presidential election, how the media is shaping the elections, and the Ella Baker Center's new Green Collar Jobs initiative. Come and help us re-frame the political conversation in this country. We will also look at some action steps for Progressive Thought to take in 2008.

We do hope you can make this informative and interesting meeting. Please RSVP.

Directions: Go west on West End to Harding Road to the Highway 100/Highway 70 split. Bear left onto Highway 100. Go 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Harpeth Trace Drive to 617 Harpeth Trace Drive.
Call 579-0451 if you get lost.

TAP connects the issues: many of our social problems are systemic, not isolated. TAP is building a network to mobilize a majority that will address broad public concerns, instead of narrow corporate interests. People should participate in decisions that affect their lives. TAP's mission is to create healthy families and communities in Tennessee.
