Celebrate the cherry blossoms at NMWA! Learn about Japan's cherry blossom festivities with Ann McClellan, author of The Cherry Blossom Festival, Sakura Celebration.
Taking inspiration from the 175 varieties of cherry blossom trees, cherry blossom myths, and ancient Japanese traditions, create a painted paper cherry blossom tree to hang self-written poems celebrating life and nature. For ages 8-12 accompanied by an adult. Admission: Free Time: 1 - 2:30 pm and 3 - 4:30 pm Reservations: Required
