Volunteer: Math Partners all day

Math Partners, an in-school tutorial for fifth- and sixth-graders in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, seeks volunteers to work with groups of two to four students once a week for eight weeks or more during the school year.

Volunteers can tutor during the school day and in some after-school programs, assisting students in mastering math skills and increasing their understanding and enjoyment of mathematics.

    PENCIL Foundation responds to the needs of Metro Schools by linking community resources of volunteers and materials with Nashville Public Schools. PENCIL matches over 500 businesses and organizations with Metro schools as PENCIL Partners, distributes school supplies for teachers through LP PENCIL Box, and trains volunteers to work with at-risk students.
