The Good Life: Heavenly Bliss Fashion Show 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

With the noticeable increase in school violence in Memphis, the decreasing graduation rate at Memphis City Schools and an increase in arrests against juveniles in Shelby County, there is a need for programs that help children in the Mid-South find and maintain positive ways of living to increase their chances to succeed in life. One such program is the UCAN Youth Development Program. Founded by Leshundra Finley, UCAN's mission is to strengthen the lives of young adults in Memphis through mentoring, personal development, and education, which will bring forth a positive impact in the community.
In order to continue the much needed services provided by UCAN, the organization is having its annual fundraiser, The Good Life: Heavenly Bliss Fashion Show on Friday, May 16th at the Hattiloo Theatre. Sponsored by Xerox, Allure Marketing and Panda Models & Talent, this fashion show will showcase designs from designers and boutiques from Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis and other areas around the country. UCAN is also giving two young people an opportunity to showcase their designs during the fashion show. The event will begin with a VIP meet and greet with participating designers at 6 PM and the show will start at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 general admission and $20 for VIP. During the day of the show, tickets will be $15 for general admission and $25 for VIP admission.
