Aldridge Garden Tour 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.

Aldridge Gardens, the former estate of Eddie and Kay Aldridge who owned Aldridge Garden Shop & Nurseries, is a beautiful 30-acre site showcasing hydrangeas and picturesque gardens. Now open to the public, the property is located on the corner of Lorna Road and Rocky Ridge Ranch Road. Eddie, who along with his father, found and patented Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snowflake', a double-flowering form of oakleaf hydrangea. Hydrangea quercifolia is the state wildflower of Alabama.
We will tour Aldridge Gardens with Vasha Rosenbaum as our tour guide. May and June are peak seasons for viewing hydrangeas in bloom. Bring a sack lunch and a drink. We will picnic after our tour on the grounds. This tour is limited to 20 children plus their parents. Aldridge Gardens is handicapped accessible. Fee: Free for Family Weekend Registration required.
