May is the month for mothers, and now Nashville-area moms have something
besides Mother’s Day to celebrate in May. On Sunday, May 18, at Conrad’s in the
Murfreesboro Holiday Inn, local non-profit Artsy Mamas and The Motherhood
Foundation will present Mamapalooza Murfreesboro, a celebration of motherhood
through music, art and shopping.
The festivities will run from 6-10 p.m. and the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door. There will be a "Mama of the Year" contest, door prizes throughout the evening, skits and monologues to be performed by members of Artsy Mamas, musical acts to include Carolyn Sledge and Sugar Lime Blue, vendors and informational booths. Informational and vendor booths are available to rent for $25.00. Those interested in an application to rent a booth can get one by emailing mamapalooza.murfreesboro@gmail.com. Artsy Mamas is accepting donations from local businesses and organizations to use as door prizes and other give-aways at the event. Artsy Mamas is a local non-profit organization dedicated to empowering mothers and their children through the arts.
