Volunteer: Board Books for Babies all day
|
Help us collect much-needed board books for children ages infant through toddler in United Way-funded
agencies. Our goal is to get a bag of books to each and every young child, to keep and use at home. In addition,
we’d love to collect enough books to restock the supply of board books in our partner agency child care centers!
Ways to Donate: • Shop online. A wish list of age-appropriate board books has been created on Amazon.com. Visit www.unitedwaynashville.org/bookdrive for a link to the list. It’s super-easy … just select which book(s) you’d like to purchase for donating and the books are automatically delivered to United Way. Be sure to type your name and company affiliation in the gift note, so we know who to credit with the donation! • Shop in person. If you wish to shop in-person, use this wish list as a guide for finding appropriate board books. • Donate $$, and we’ll do the shopping for you. Through various partnerships, we are able to leverage your donations and get more “books for the buck.” Donate online at www.unitedwaynashville.org/bookdrive in any amount you desire, and we’ll purchase the books for you! Ways to Drop off Books: • Board books purchased at Amazon.com through the board book drive wish list will automatically be delivered to United Way’s office. • All other board books can be collected and turned in at the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville office, located at 250 Venture Circle, through Thursday, June 19, at 4 p.m. • OR, we encourage you to roll up your sleeves and volunteer at our first annual Day of Action, to be held on Saturday, June 21. If you choose to volunteer at this fun, hands-on event, you can bring your books that morning! For more information or to register for this event please visit www.unitedwaynashville.org/dayofaction. Due to the wear and tear board books go through, we ask that all donated books be new.
