Covenant House Awards Luncheon-Opening Doors to Homeless Youth in Georgia 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

On June 25, 2008 Covenant House Georgia will host its first Awards Luncheon, honoring distinguished individuals and organizations who are dedicated to the quality of life of the homeless youth in Atlanta at The Loudermilk Center in Downtown Atlanta from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. These honorees provide hope, promise and opportunities for today’s youth. They represent unconditional love, respect, service, advocacy, and family in the community. They are the Voice for the Homeless. This year we are presenting Mayor Shirley Franklin with “The Voice of Homelessness” award, Dr. Donald Rooker with “The Philanthropist of the Year” award and Ms. Ursula Lentine with “The Volunteer of the Year” award.
“Opening Doors to Homeless Youth” Awards Luncheon promises to be the most exciting event hosted by Covenant House Georgia! Headlining the event will be Deidre Dukes from Fox 5 News. The Keynote speaker for the event will be Mr. Bob Williamson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Software International, LLC which is headquartered here in Atlanta. Williamson who was once a homeless teenager, is sure to bring a dynamic message to the luncheon’s attendees.
