Volunteer opportunities include:

Cashier: This position handles sales transactions, answers the phone, and provides general assistance to customers and donors. You should have strong math and customer service skills, a belief in the Store's mission, and a desire to brighten peoples' day.

Sales Associate: This position greets customers as they arrive, directs them around the store, and answers questions about our inventory. You should have strong math and customer service skills, a general knowledge of building materials, and the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

Pick-up Specialist: This position assists with donation pickups throughout the Greater Charlottesville area. You should have strong customer skills, the ability to lift 75-100 lbs. on a consistent basis, and must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.

Receiving/Processing Specialist: This position facilitates the flow of incoming donations and outgoing purchases, provides donation receipts and ensures that incoming donations are efficiently displayed or stored You should have strong customer service skills and the ability to lift 50-75 lbs. on a consistent basis.

Recycling Coordinator: This position organizes and transports the store's metal and cardboard recycling once a week. You should have a basic understanding of recycling and be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
