This community picnic caps an exciting day of visits to homes and businesses throughout Houston that have added solar panels to generate renewable energy. Music, food, conversation—all to highlight solar energy and environmental awareness. Co-sponsored with Houston Renewable Energy Group.
Free Admission Location: Grace Event Lawn Located in downtown Houston across from the George R. Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green is 12 acres of urban green space including one-acre lake, children’s playground area, interactive water features, multi-use amphitheater stage and sloping lawn, small and large dog runs, and two restaurants, the Grove and Lake House operated by Schiller Del Grande Restaurant Group.
