Weekly Reading Buddies Training 11:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Book'em is a local children's literacy organization that operates with the mission to inspire a love of books and reading in all children. Our vision is to be a leader in creating an enriched community where everyone loves books and reading.
Our Ready for Reading (RFR) Buddies visit area pre-schools, dayschools and other sites weekly to read one-on-one or to small groups of children. Reading Buddies are responsible for scheduling visits with teacher, choosing books to read, and being a positive example of the love of reading for children. Time commitment is around 1 hour or less every week. Our next RFR training is Tuesday October 7th at Rose Park Magnet Middle (1025 9th Ave S.). There will be two identical sessions at 11:30-1:00 and 5:00-6:30. Refreshments are provided, please plan on attending one!
