DESCRIPTION:The Ahoy Wilmington exhibit focuses on activities and stories related to the ocean and Cape Fear River. Located in the Junior League Buccaneer Atrium, the exhibit encourages role-playing, problem solving, building, navigating and more. The focal point is a large pirate ship where kids’ imaginations can soar! The ship’s cannon fires pretend oranges into an orange grove where visitors pick and carry them back to the pirate ship (for fighting scurvy).
