Candlelight vigil for Estelle Richardson
In July of 2004, Estelle Richardson, an inmate at the CCA Metro Detention Facility was found unresponsive after 4 CCA guards had forcibly removed her from a solitary confinement cell. A few hours later Estelle died. She had a fractured skull, 4 broken ribs and a damaged liver. The Davidson Medical examiner ruled her death a homicide. Her murder still remains today one of Nashville's unresolved murder cases. Gather to remember Estelle and keep her memory and murder in the eyes of the public as individuals continue to seek the truth and justice for her.

Symphony in the Park: Schermerhorn Symphony Center
When the weather begins to get warm the Nashville Symphony is ready to get in the community and play outside! This year with the help of Regions Bank, we will offer a summer parks concert series in which most of the concerts will be free. We will perform all over town in various parks for free playing well-known repertoire that all ages and listeners are sure to love. So gather a picnic dinner, come out and enjoy an evening of beautiful weather and great music.

Famoudou Konate is one of the world's most beloved masters of the West African djembe. Still residing in his village in Guinea, Famoudou tours the United States and Canada each summer, sharing the percussion traditions of his homeland.
