Metropolitan Beautification And Environment Commission is partnering with the Titans organization and Waste Management to promote recycling during tailgating starting with the August 9 game.

Volunteer: Metro Health Dept. School Health Fair
We need volunteers to man registration tables for this event. The first shift will set up the table and last shift will break down. We try to make the shifts as short as possible, but you are certainly welcomed to work a longer shift. Complete instructions will be emailed to all participants.

The CoolMomsCare Celebration Garden: A Rain Barrel For My Garden
CoolMomsCare, Cumberland River Compact and Franklin Farmer’s Market have teamed up for a great event to close out the summer. Come at 9 AM to get ready for learning and fun. We will be around until about noon, so hang out for a family picnic (bring your own or buy some of the great food at the market).

What better place to learn about being “green” than your Shelby Bottoms Nature Center! Join us to learn what we do and what you can do to make this a great world to live in. We will even explore why the color green is so important in the natural world by looking at some of the plants that call Shelby Bottoms home.

Star Party at Edwin Warner Park
The next FREE public star party is scheduled for August 9 from 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm at Edwin Warner Park. Join us and the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society for a close up look at the summer night sky!
