The election fraud and voter suppression of both the 2004 and 2006 elections looms large over the 2008 presidential election, but it is rarely talked about by either political party or their candidates. It is in this atmosphere that the election fraud documentary, UNCOUNTED: The New Math of American Elections, will screen at the Belcourt Theater and pose two questions that undoubtedly will not be asked during the next night's Presidential Debate at Belmont University: "What can we do to stop the systematic disfranchisement that has plagued recent elections?" and "How can we assure that the person who wins in November has been elected fairly?"

Holiday Nonprofit Sundays at Ten Thousand Villages

On Sundays in October and November, Ten Thousand Villages of Nashville will open its doors to celebrate the work of local nonprofits. Each Sunday from 12:00 – 5:00, a different organization will be featured and gifted with a percentage of store sales that day.

Soul Feast

Both food and spirituality connect us to family, ancestors, culture, faith, and values. Through shared meals, food events, and time-honored recipes, those who are no are no longer with us live on. Come feast your soul and your stomach by bringing a dish that connects you to at least one of these areas, along with its recipe and the story behind it. The collected recipes and stories will be the beginnings of a Penuel Ridge cookbook.

Girls Night Out for a Cause

The Women’s Center at Hermitage Imaging will be hosting Mammography Parties during the month of October for groups of 8-10 women who are in need of a baseline or yearly screening mammogram.

Foster Parent Training

Phoenix Homes, a nonprofit treatment foster care agency is currently recruiting families to provide homes for the 10,382 youth in Foster Care in Tennessee. Our goal is to provide every child with a safe, stable, and loving home, like yours, to grow.

HealthRHYTHMS Training Session

This program is offered as an enjoyable weekend course beginning Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon. Based principally on didactic and interactive presentations coupled with engaging "hands on" workshop approaches for group drumming facilitation, the program provides a comprehensive educational experience that will enable you to successfully introduce group drumming in your area.
