Pee Wee Preakness
Junior jockeys have a "Preakness" of their own with a lively race! Youngsters race to the finish line on bouncy hippity hops at the annual Pee Wee Preakness presented by MECU, Baltimore's Credit Union on Tuesday, May 13 in Federal Hill Park, located on Warren Street near Battery Avenue. Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. with Maryland Public Television's Bob the Vid Tech, who performs a live, interactive show including fun kids' songs and the Great Vid Kid Quiz game. Children charge out of the starting gate for the big race at noon. After the races, the tykes catch their breath while enjoying their packed lunches and exciting entertainment by magician and comedian Jason Moffett- who with audience interaction will leave the little jockeys wanting more as they unwind from a busy day at the "track." Pee Wee Preakness is a part of Preakness Celebration, a series of events preparing Baltimore for the 132nd annual running of the Preakness Stakes. Presented by Mayor Sheila Dixon and MECU, Baltimore's Credit Union, Pee Wee Preakness is produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and Preakness Celebration.

Volunteer: CASA of Baltimore
Thousands of children in Baltimore City are not safe living with their families. We can’t control where these children come from but we can have a positive impact on where they end up! It takes all of us, everyday people, to stand up and commit to making a meaningful difference in the lives of abused and neglected children. It starts, very simply, with one volunteer at a time.
