Degas in Bronze: The Complete Sculptures

French Impressionist Edgar Degas is universally admired as one of the most influential sculptors of the early 20th century. A master of depicting the human figure, Degas worked in many mediums such as paints, charcoals and pastels. Seventy-three sculptures, including The Little Fourteen-Year-Old Dancer, are the focus of this exhibition.

Although celebrated as a painter, Impressionist master Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) was an extremely knowledgeable and devoted gardener. He often painted his own garden in Giverny with its extensive gardens, water lilies and ponds, and considered his garden his greatest work of art.

ARTWORKS SUMMER CELEBRATION

Over the summer, 70 students and nine professional artists employed by the UICA’s ArtWorks Youth Program were commissioned to create three large-scale murals, two large-scale 3-dimensional works, and one public awareness campaign.
