Friends of Andersen Horticultural Library Used Book Sale
This very popular annual sale of gently used books raises funds for the Elmer Andersen Horticultural Library at the Arboretum. It is a project of the Friends of the Andersen Library.

Target Free 3rd Sundays
Thanks to the generosity of Target Corporation, visitors can roam the Museum free of charge every third Sunday of each month, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. During the 2008 fiscal year, more than 30,000 children and adults enjoyed the Museum's four floors of enchanting exhibits, interactive galleries and creative daily programs.

Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month
October marks the sixth annual Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month, an event organized by the New York–based nonprofit organization Art Education for the Blind (AEB), which was founded in 1987. AEB strives to ensure that art and culture are available to people of all ages through research, training of staff and volunteers at cultural institutions, curriculum and resource development, and fostering cross-institutional communication through a variety of collaborative opportunities. Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month is one such opportunity.
