- Breast Cancer Benefit Golf Tournament
- The High Desert Hooters is a team of women dedicated to helping eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. Every year we participate in a 60-mile walk called the Breast Cancer 3-Day. The Breast Cancer 3-Day benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to fund breast cancer research and community outreach, as well as the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.

- Walk For Animals
- Nevada Humane Society is asking animal lovers to join in to help raise $100,000 to provide care for homeless dogs and cats in our community by participating in the Walk for Animals on June 7 at the Sparks Marina.

- Healthy Families 4th Annual Fundraiser - Summer Chili Fest
- Healthy Families Foundation (HFF) is a private non-profit organization founded to help young parent(s) make a better life for themselves and their families through education. The parent(s) accepted into the HFF Living Scholarship program will be required to attend college or trade school and subsequently earn a degree in the field of their choice. HFF provides the recipient with a Living Scholarship to help subsidize monthly living expenses.

- Volunteer: Casa de Vida
- Casa de Vida is a private, nonprofit corporation providing a home and support services for pregnant young women. While some teens facing a crisis pregnancy have the support of a loving family, many others are less fortunate. They are frightened, disillusioned, and often without a safe place to live. Casa de Vida is a place to call home for any young woman facing this difficult situation.

- Volunteer: Foster Homes for Animals
- You can provide a second chance in life for a special needs shelter animal by joining our Foster Care Program. We receive the orphaned babies, the sick and injured, the emotionally infirmed on a regular basis. While we do provide what these animals need in the shelter, this environment places additional stresses on their already-fragile immune systems. They heal faster and grow up stronger in a home setting.

- Volunteer: Nevada Humane Society
- The Nevada Humane Society asks volunteers to make a six month commitment of at least four to sixteen hours per month depending upon the area of service. Minimum age is 14. Volunteer shifts are 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Sunday. Some evening hours may be involved if volunteering for special events.
