- Volunteers are essential at all levels of the Food Bank For New York City’s operations – from serving hot meals to New Yorkers in need at the Community Kitchen in Harlem to staffing at fund- and awareness-raising events! Every year, approximately 5,000 people volunteer their time and talents to help the Food Bank provide support for thousands of low-income New Yorkers. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups.
