21st Annual BBQ Cook-Off Festival
Join Carolina Children's Home for our 21st Annual BBQ Cook-off Festival at the SC State Fairgrounds. Presented by Big Pig sponsor AdDrive, this two-day fundraiser pits cookers from all over the state of South Carolina against each other to see who can create the best tasting BBQ. All the proceeds from the event benefit Carolina Children's Home and the many children we serve. Originally founded as an orphanage, the Home is one of the state's largest treatment centers for abused or abandoned young people.

Rocky Shoals Spider Lily Festival
Come out to Riverfront Park on May 31 for the inaugural Rocky Shoals Spider Lily Festival. There will be guided walks, kayak trips to the shoals to view spider lilies, vendors, exhibits and nature photography, music, food and fun for all.

Volunteer: South Carolina State Museum
Do you have a love of South Carolina history? Then the South Carolina State Museum has a terrific opportunity for you! Volunteer teachers, known as docents, are needed to conduct tours of the South Carolina State Museum for school groups and the general public. Docents must be be 18 years-old or older and available to conduct tours at least one weekday morning a month.
