Volunteer: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
Make a Difference in a Child's Life! Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Nashville is recruiting volunteers to help some of the 2,300 child victims of abuse and neglect in this community. For the past 24 years, CASA's mission has been to expedite the process through which these children are found permanent, safe homes. CASA volunteers serve as the eyes and ears of the court in abuse and neglect cases. Volunteers should be at least 21 years of age, have no criminal history, and have a strong interest in protecting the rights and needs of children.

Volunteer: Nashville Rescue Mission
You Can Help Make A Difference! Volunteers are an essential part of the Nashville Rescue Mission's team. Since 1954, Mission volunteers have helped change lives in every capacity from serving over 452,000 meals each year and building playgrounds to providing thousands of hours of medical care and tutoring to Recovery Program clients. Although 1,000 volunteers serve at the Mission on average per month, we continue to have a numerous volunteer opportunities!

Volunteer: Safe Haven Family Shelter
Even though Safe Haven Family Shelter has been around for a number of years, many people are still unaware of the organization and the volunteer opportunities available. SHFS is in dire need of volunteers. The Arts At Safe Haven & Childcare Volunteers: The Arts at Safe Haven is designed to enrich the lives of our families through the visual arts, drama and music. The primary goal is to strengthen the bond between parents and children while they engage in an expressive activity. Volunteers will lead an art, drama or music project for families or assist leaders in those projects by way of childcare or just an extra pair of hands.

Be a friend to a child who has very little or nothing at all! Many of the children that come to Youth Villages have little more than the clothes on their back. By becoming a "friend in need" you can help provide basic necessities to children who can't afford them.

At the end of each eight-week session, Better Tomorrows rewards the achievements of students and volunteers with a graduation ceremony. In order to make this a positive and memorable experience for all involved, we need help with simple decorating, food donations, and the greeting and congratulating of students and volunteers.

Volunteer: Saddle Up!
Saddle Up! provides children with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through recreational activities with horses. Saddle Up! was established 15 years ago to provide therapeutic horseback riding to children between the ages of four and eighteen in the Middle Tennessee area. Located on thirty four acres of beautiful countryside in Williamson County the program provides therapy as much for the volunteers as students. If you love children and animals this is the volunteer opportunity of a lifetime.
