What assumptions do you have about art? Who can create it? Can certain inabilities inhibit creative expression, or enhance it? The Deaf Performing Artists Network is a little known (but very special) opportunity for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
D-PAN demonstrates how beautiful and creative American Sign Language can be, and its programs have given a voice and creative outlet to thousands who would not otherwise be able to showcase their passions and talents. For an example, visit their Web site and watch some of the community videos to view just some of the art that has been created.
