CoolPeople CarPool

The CoolPeople Car Pool happens on the last day of every month and you can be a part!

If you commit to car pool somewhere (to work, to school, to lunch, to a movie) on the last day of this month, let us know below and you'll be a Charter Member of the CoolPeople CarPool.

To thank you for saving the world by sharing a ride, we'll send you one of these awesome bumper stickers. Then, everyone who is too close to your tailgate will know that you're doing your part to take care of planet Earth.

It's that easy!

I've gotten at least three people to commit to carpooling that day! We're getting to work together and going to all our off site meetings all day!

My workplace agreed that if we can cut the employee cars in our parking lot by half, they'll buy pizza for everyone for lunch (since half will be without cars). It's going to be tough to do, with parents having to run kids to school and day care, and some with appointments immediately before or after work. I'll keep you updated!

We reduced the number of cars in our lots by eleven (thirty would have been half). We had four drivers picking people up, and some people walked or biked. (Our public transportation is lacking in Dubuque, making it impractical in most cases.) I'm still pleased with the outcome, and we're buying lunch for the participants. The president wants to make this a monthly event, so we'll be doing it again!

The Nashville Hiking Meetup group carpools to all events, hikes, etc whenever possible. Saves gas, money, the environment - and it's just nice to have company on the road! This group is very concerned about our footprint on our state parks - and about our collective carbon footprint as well.

I carpool my friends to the mall a lot. Lol. I never thought of it as carpooling, since it was more like them mooching of my gas.

I'll be working on getting more folks to carpool with me, since I don't use ANY gas. By taking folks to work on all electric power, I can reduce more than just my own carbon footprint!

My husband, friend and I all commute to work, which is saving two additional 50+ mile round trips a day. Now if only we could get more efficient public transportation we'd be in business!
